2006 Shiraz

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2010 Edition

Rating 92/100

Deep colour; seems to have gained weight and substance since first tasted in Feb’08, the fruit gaining another dimension, the savoury finish more bite. Screwcap.  14.5% To 2020

The first thing that strikes you about this Central Victorian wine is that unmistakable mint and eucalypt. Some twangy red fruits and gentle spice lurk beyond, in the mouth it’s built on charming ripe, fine tannins, finishing with ripe blackberry flavour and some thicker, doughy chew through the back.
