We love the interplay between the two grape varieties; Malbec contributing ripe mulberry and blackberry fruit flavours and a rich mid-palate weight; Cabernet the dark, cassis, dried herb, violet, and cocoa. Maturation in French and American hogshead barrels for 18 months added gentle savoury notes of nutmeg and clove spice.
Bottle maturation in our cellars since bottling has allowed the rich fruits to emerge with a deceptive lightness & freshness, the tannins balanced and plush and the result is a balanced, medium-bodied wine that coats the mouth and finishes long.
Enjoy now alongside barbequed lamb, beef with a smoky rub or a rich mushroom and root vegetable stew, or continue to cellar for the next 5-7 years. 13.5% alcohol.
