“Just a quick note to say we opened a bottle of your 2005 Shiraz tonight. I noted in your tasting notes on the label you said "Enjoy now or over the next 8 years." It is now almost 12 years since you made it and I can tell you it has lasted extremely well past the 8 year mark. The colour is good, being a deep rich red with only minimal brown at the edge. The Shiraz nose is still fresh with the vanilla of the American oak apparent. The wine has settled well into a beautiful, smooth Shiraz fruit flavour on the middle palate and a soft tannin finish. Beautifully balanced. A superb wine. Thank God for Stelvins caps. They have allowed your wine to age very slowly and to allow us to enjoy it as I describe above this evening. Keep up the good work.
